Many buildings have a large central court, an atrium, which is the focal point of the building’s architecture. Atriums are used in office buildings, hotels, casinos, or shopping malls and are typically on ground level. They can be located immediately upon entry or further back into the building. Atriums allow for a social gathering spot – a meeting place – and could be a perfect location to place a restaurant, a cafe, cocktail lounge or retail store.
As our world becomes smaller, and natural resources become more valuable as they decrease, human beings find themselves the keepers of what they take for granted. Clean air, clean water, a ground full of minerals, and gazillions of species of healthy wildlife and plants – We are all part of this fragile ecosystem.

This includes local, statewide, and federal laws, as well as zoning restrictions, building limitations, and other unique circumstances. It would be great if trees and plants could be planted anywhere, anytime, and by anyone. Unfortunately, this is not the case. You may want a beautiful towering oak for your front yard, but local ordinances may prohibit this. Luckily, faux indoor options are usually acceptable.
