Aria Resort & Casino is the flagship Luxury Resort and Casino of MGM’s multi-billion dollar City Center on the Las Vegas Strip. They created a freestanding Fantasy Garden in its main lobby, which included a huge 18’ tall Permanent Boxwood Topiary as the focal point.

ARIA’s team of designers came to our team with the rendering of the Topiary. It had to be fabricated, freestanding, and be made of several units that could be disassembled, stored and used again.

The 15’ diameter canopy was engineered to be manufactured in four separate parts, which were bolted on the steel trunk structure. The Canopy was covered with over 300 panels of UV-rated two-tone 3” deep faux Boxwood.

The overall Topiary weight was over 1,000 lbs. The completed structure was installed in the middle of the night, and our tree builders worked alongside ARIA’s engineers and design team.

The ARIA’s Horticultural Division finished the Garden with hundreds of live plants and flowers at the base of the Topiary.
