Outdoor Green Wall Illuminates Parking Garage – Mahalo!

Often referred to as the “9th Hawaiian Island,” the California Hotel Casino Las Vegas has been catering to Hawaiian tourists since Sam Boyd opened the hotel 40 years ago.

As part of an extensive renovation of the Valet Entrance to the enclosed parking garage, artisans manufactured an impressive and stately permanent artificial Green Wall Sculpture that now serves as the focal point of the redesign.

We utilized an assortment of Ultraviolet Inhibited (UVI) foliage and textures to create a gentle cresting ocean wave within the Green Wall. The white sign of the Hawaiian word ‘Mahalo’ is at the apex of the wave, to properly greet travelers from the “Remaining 8 Islands.”

The team creatively used commercial-grade exterior (UVI), Boxwood, Bougainvillea, Ivy, and Vines mounted to a powder-coated steel grid to accomplish the specific design goals for Boyd Gaming Corporation.
